Maybe you’ve tried things which haven't worked, feel nervous about investing more in people/marketing or just don't know where to start. It’s time to focus clearly and identify what’s holding you back, what you really want and how to get to the stage where your MSP works for you rather than you for it! We call that ONN - Owner Not Needed :-)General Feedback text for Overall score of 61-85%From your self-identified score, it appears you're in the Thrive stage of the MSP journey, happy days!Life is good right now, it feels like things are working. You have momentum in the team, in sales and marketing (a bit) and you're finally able to start taking a step back from the day to day. You're also aware that you're not quite there yet. This stage, whilst exciting, is also a fragile one if you're not careful. Many MSPs find themselves lurching back into the Drive phase due to a sudden change (losing a client or key people) or complacency creeping in.Congratulations on being in a good place; now's the time to strengthen the team, sales, marketing and systems to ensure you can accelerate the growth of the business! What do you need to help you do this?General Feedback text for Overall score of 86-100%From your self-identified score, it appears you're in the Arrive stage of the MSP journey.Wow! Not many people get here. Congratulations! You have a business that is truly working for you rather than you for it -a great team, profits and the freedom to get involved in wider projects, to give back, shape the future and be a thought leader. There’s two questions for you here:What made you complete this quiz? What’s next for you?Topic 1 Key Area of ImprovementHarness AmbitionWhat was it that made you set up your MSP? Maybe it was to create a lifestyle and a new way of working that you weren’t getting as an employee. Maybe you wanted to strike out on your own because you love technology and always wanted to do your own thing.Whatever the reason, I bet you felt excited and positive. Do you still have that feeling now or are you feeling a bit stuck? Are you working too hard for not enough return? The problem is that no one teaches us how to grow a business, let alone how to combine all the component parts like sales, marketing, staff management, business planning, cash flow and more. All this can take the gloss off your original ambitions, however, when you understand how to harness that ambotion and connect it to your MSP and the team within it, you suddenly feel like you can take on the world again, just like you did when you set out originally.Topic 2 Key Area of ImprovementAmplify CapacityFor your business to grow you must create the roles, the team, the processes and the performance that can deliver the growth for you, all of you!Growth creates opportunity for people to be, do and have more. Growth creates new jobs, allowing you to build a trusted team with a common goal and belief in the future. This trusted team releases you from the day to day running of your business and allows you to focus on the future and the strategies needed to get you there.Give some thought to the roles and processes within your business that are needed to allow it to grow and see how the people you have in the business fit those roles.Topic 3 Key Area of ImprovementMaximise OpportunitiesThis is all about maximising your opportunity in your marketplace, whether that is local, regional or national. Everyone has a unique opportunity and it’s about building your sales and marketing engine so you have confidence in a steady flow of quality leads. It’s also about optimising the relationship and revenue with and from your clients. Do your clients actually know about new services you offer? Do you know if they’re planning to expand or anything else that might be an opportunity for you to help them with their technology? When was the last time you spoke, in person, to your top 10 or 20 customers about their goals for their own businesses and not just their technical requirements?Do this and you might be surprised at what comes up!Call to Action 0-33%At the MSP Growth Hub, we have and are helping hundreds of Business Owners to scale their IT/MSP, so it can truly work for them rather than them work for it. All with the goal to giving more profits, more time, and more choices about the future. We know that as an MSP generating at least £250k, then you might be just a few strategies and best practices away from getting to £1 million turnover OR if already there getting you to £5 million faster. If you are curious in finding out what they are, then let's have a chat and brainstorm what your next step could be to building that leveraged, fun and profitable MSP.Simply click on the links below and we look forward to connecting with you soon.Book a call with Ian HERE.Book a call with Stuart HERE.Topic 1 Detailed Text for 0-33%You’re likely to be very busy all the time and the thought of having a plan is only ever just exactly that – a thought. You may have tried to create one in the past and never looked at it again so perhaps don’t see the point however you’d love to have clarity and focus on how to scale. Taking time to decide where you want to be in the next 2-3 years, assessing if you can get there working the way you are currently is key and, if not, then deciding on what needs to change is a vital next step for you. Topic 1 Detailed Text for 34-66%You have a plan but it’s mostly in your head and you get frustrated that too often you feel you can’t see the wood for the trees. Take time to slow down, get clarity about what you’re focusing on day to day and decide if the way you are currently working will get you there. Creating a plan, communicating it to the team and installing accountability to deliver it is key. Without it progress will be slower than you want. If you’ve tried and struggled with this in the past then who can help you get this in place once and for all? Topic 1 Detailed Text for 67-100%Congratulations! You feel really clear about the next 2-3 years and are confident of the focus needed to get you there. By continuing to inspire your team and keep them connected to your vision will ensure deliver for your clients, themselves and you. You may be wondering how you can go faster or what’s next for you personally as the business scales. If you’re unsure then what can you do to get the clarity you need? Topic 2 Detailed Text for 0-33%It’s likely you’re maxed out and nervous to hire anyone else due to the cost. You a couple of technicians but one or more don’t fully pull their weight or lack experience you need. As a result, you’re way too technical with clients and feel you can never work ON the business except at night and at weekends. Deep down you need to upgrade the capability or size of your team. If you don’t have an admin/invoicing person and you’re doing it then this is a no brainer place to start! Topic 2 Detailed Text for 34-66%You have a team you mostly trust to deliver however, if you’re honest, some are weaker than you’d like if you’re to scale confidently. The team are mostly technicians with some admin/finance support however everything still requires you to be involved in some way. This drains your time. Deep down you wish one or more of them would take more ownership so you don’t have to think of everything all of the time. What could you do to change this? Amplify the capacity of your team and you have rock solid foundations to scale! Topic 2 Detailed Text for 67-100%Awesome! You have a great team who you trust to deliver the day to day operations of the business. It’s likely, though, that you’re aware your sales, marketing and account management people could perform better. The real question is whether this team is your future management team who could run the business without you. What if anything could change to allow the business to accelerate further? Topic 3 Detailed Text for 0-33%You rarely win new business or, if you do, it’s all from referrals. Most leads are small businesses (1-5 users) where the quality is variable and they’re usually driven by price. This was okay when you started out but, now, you’re fed up with it. You’ve never really invested in marketing or if you have its nothing’s really worked and you’re sceptical of wasting money on it or don’t know where to start. By installing a clear sales funnel with one or two tactical marketing activities and cease hoping some silver bullet will magically give you lots of leads and your marketing will start to deliver consistently for you. Easier said than done though. If this fills you with dread then get some help. Don’t struggle alone. Topic 3 Detailed Text for 34-66%You win new business from time to time but it’s inconsistent and the quality is variable. You’ve likely got some social media content going out and a few other activities but marketing frustrates you as it doesn’t seem to work as well as it could and, bottom line, you’re not getting enough leads. You probably don’t have a sales and marketing strategy (funnel) in place or, if you do, you’re unconfident in it as well as most likely not implementing consistently. By installing a clear sales funnel with one or two tactical marketing activities and cease hoping some silver bullet will magically give you lots of leads and your marketing will start to deliver consistently for you. Easier said than done though! If this fills you with dread then get some help. Don’t struggle alone. Topic 3 Detailed Text for 67-100%Congratulations – you’re in the top 4% of MSP’s! You’ve likely got a steady flow of leads and new business plus you’re maximising opportunities from existing clients. Or are you? What’s missing that made you fill this quiz in except your ego? ;-) Perhaps you’re too involved in the sales and marketing and not sure how to take yourself out of the process? Do you outsource or hire someone? You may also be thinking how can I go faster?
